I got so into it that I even started a Youtube channel to post all of my work. I plan to take my learning and do something positive eventually. The city I'm in definitely needs it. Maybe I'll be the one to do such a feat lol. With my wife's support for my project, I know it'll happen.

My Cinema 4d experience
During my time learning about SEO, I started to get into 3d design. I know how incredibly irrelevant to one another but it just happened ok. The program I used was called Cinema 4d. This program allows you to render beautiful 3d renderings and it's pretty easy to use, once you get the hang of it of course. Its learning curve (think at least for a 3d application) is not to difficult at all. If you watch the right tutorials like this one or this one then you should be able to produce crazy gangsta stuff like this on your own.

Marketing In A Mobile Digital World
Between the last event in December of 2012, and October 2013 I decided to take a little break from photography and focus more on online marketing. I did do some photography but I figured that since everything is becoming so digital, I might as well learn more about online marketing because I one day want to open a business, so I need to be prepared. I don't want to end up behind not knowing how to operate a device like how my parents are always calling me up to ask how to put a new phone number in. And speaking of phones, they're becoming more and more powerful by the second becoming a lot of people's companion they can't do without.
I remember getting excited when I seen the new Motorola RAZR come out with it's "razor" thin form factor and it's beautiful 176x220 display. This phone didn't play, but if you look at that now it's basically a child's toy that children at the age of 5 get as a hand me down, because phone are shooting 4k video like that new Samsung Galaxy S5. 4k was taken from the professional format for filming of 4096x2160 pixels, and it refers to it being roughly 4000 pixels across a screen where 1080 and 720 have 1080 and 720 lines respectively.

Why am I talking about powerful phones? Because I believe that mobile devices are the best way to get any message across to your target audiences, assuming of course that your communicating to them about something relevant or you run the risk of just pissing that person off.
With social media, faster data transfer rates from mobile telecommunication technology, and more powerful phones, people are shopping, booking events, paying bills, watching movies, making movies, playing MMORPG's, and more all on their handheld devices. Smartphones, or what I like to call it, mobile computers, are taking up a lot of people's attention and this is where marketers focus are now shifting towards. But not only are mobile computers important but just being able to see the Internet as a whole shape shift into something so involved in everyday lives to the point where people can't live without it. Kinda scary but it's the truth. Some of the largest companies run solely on the net and would obviously be nothing without it, but it's not like the top dogs having anything to be worried though... but still... it would be bad.
I learned quite a bit in that time that I even got myself a Digital Analytics Fundamentals certificate when the course was made available. Photography is still my passion though but like I said before, I trying to become some sort of marketing machine where I know a large amount of the disciplines involved in marketing and can do a lot on my own.

What does SEO mean?
My series of posts that will be relevant to internet marketing will begin with definitions of related terms that I find scattered across the internet. Search engine optimization (SEO) will be the first definition I'll be starting with.
What is search engine optimization (SEO)?
SEO is basically using search engines to market an organization. Doing good SEO will rank your website, blog, or anything online that you want a large amount of people to know about, high in search engine results when anyone searches for a relevant topic. For example, if I were to go on Google and search the term "cars", results for Ford, GM, and Toyota will show up on the top above anything else relevant to cars. They rank high because they have fixed their website in a way so that it will be visible to anyone that wants to search for cars.
SEO is very important for any organization because 90% of the online population use search engines to find services, products, and information. Natural search results recieve 250% more traffic than paid search, converts 30% higher than pay-per-click (PPC) paid searches. People don't tend to look past the first page of results, which means that most of the clicks will be happening on the first page. The first page gets at least 80% of the clicks and the second get 10%. These results clearly demonstrates that if your website isn't found within the top 10 to 30 search results, there's a very large chance that no one will ever find it, and will find your competition instead.
From stats like those, it just shows how vitally important it is to establish an online presence no matter what type of business you're into because almost everybody is online and that's where most information resides and it's easily accessible.
Next week i'll go into more detail as to how search engine optimization is used and what processes are involved when it comes to making your website visible in the search results.
