My Cinema 4d experience

During my time learning about SEO, I started to get into 3d design. I know how incredibly irrelevant to one another but it just happened ok. The program I used was called Cinema 4d. This program allows you to render beautiful 3d renderings and it's pretty easy to use, once you get the hang of it of course. Its learning curve (think at least for a 3d application) is not to difficult at all. If you watch the right tutorials like this one or this one then you should be able to produce crazy gangsta stuff like this on your own.

I got so into it that I even started a Youtube channel to post all of my work. I plan to take my learning and do something positive eventually. The city I'm in definitely needs it. Maybe I'll be the one to do such a feat lol. With my wife's support for my project, I know it'll happen.

Marketing In A Mobile Digital World

Between the last event in December of 2012, and October 2013 I decided to take a little break from photography and focus more on online marketing. I did do some photography but I figured that since everything is becoming so digital, I might as well learn more about online marketing because I one day want to open a business, so I need to be prepared. I don't want to end up behind not knowing how to operate a device like how my parents are always calling me up to ask how to put a new phone number in. And speaking of phones, they're becoming more and more powerful by the second becoming a lot of people's companion they can't do without.

I remember getting excited when I seen the new Motorola RAZR come out with it's "razor" thin form factor and it's beautiful 176x220 display. This phone didn't play, but if you look at that now it's basically a child's toy that children at the age of 5 get as a hand me down, because phone are shooting 4k video like that new Samsung Galaxy S5. 4k was taken from the professional format for filming of 4096x2160 pixels, and it refers to it being roughly 4000 pixels across a screen where 1080 and 720 have 1080 and 720 lines respectively.

Why am I talking about powerful phones? Because I believe that mobile devices are the best way to get any message across to your target audiences, assuming of course that your communicating to them about something relevant or you run the risk of just pissing that person off.

With social media, faster data transfer rates from mobile telecommunication technology, and more powerful phones, people are shopping, booking events, paying bills, watching movies, making movies, playing MMORPG's, and more all on their handheld devices. Smartphones, or what I like to call it, mobile computers, are taking up a lot of people's attention and this is where marketers focus are now shifting towards. But not only are mobile computers important but just being able to see the Internet as a whole shape shift into something so involved in everyday lives to the point where people can't live without it. Kinda scary but it's the truth. Some of the largest companies run solely on the net and would obviously be nothing without it, but it's not like the top dogs having anything to be worried though... but still... it would be bad.
I learned quite a bit in that time that I even got myself a Digital Analytics Fundamentals certificate when the course was made available. Photography is still my passion though but like I said before, I trying to become some sort of marketing machine where I know a large amount of the disciplines involved in marketing and can do a lot on my own.

Picking up where I left off...

With the amount of things I was getting into, updating this blog has slipped my mind but luckily I dated every folder in 2013 for every session I went on. I was trying to figure a way to start back again and fill in the missing months that I haven't posted. I didn't realize it at first but looking through my archives my awesome organization skills were working without me realizing it and I can continue.

New Trusty Flash
AAAAnyway... That same woman I was doing photography for was doing another event. She was doing a fashion show. She called me up and asked if I would help her and shoot the models for the night. I agreed of course because she's such a wonderful lady to work with and went to shoot the event with my new trusty flash.

I got this flash from a friend of mine named, Courtney. He was also starting photography. I'm glad I finally have a flash but the bloody thing can only turn its light 90 degrees up but I made it work that night... I guess.

The event had a great turnout but shooting with a flash that takes at least 5 seconds to recharge isn't fun and the place was jumping so getting a great shot with a slow flash in a packed place wasn't easy at all. I just had to be patient and hope I get some good shots.

Things I've Picked Up In The Past Year.

For the past year I learned how to use programs such as Adobe's Illustrator, Photoshop, After effects, and Premiere as well as 3d and fluid simulators like Cinema 4d and RealFlow. With this knowledge, I can create great visual masterpieces that are shown on major networks such as MTV and News Corp.'s Fox television stations.

What I've noticed is that people like pretty visuals and will pretty much be drawn to anything made from those programs I've listed... if done properly of course. I also have created a Youtube page with some of the things I've done using those programs. One of the videos is somewhat of a music video which is the very first video I've shot with my camera and edited on my own. It's pretty long but it was my first time so I'm pretty proud of it.

A dance company in the city I live called DMD (Defining Movement Dance company) allowed me to shoot this video and they really liked it (thank God). They enjoyed my work so much that I have another gig from them in a few weeks. Looks like things are pic
king right up.
