Rad Brothers: Part 2

I'm going to begin this post with how I got to the Rad Brothers bar in the first place which was by bus. Now, as I was saying in my previous post, about me being wrong about where the bus station was located and how far I was from it, I wish I paid a little more attention to what was going on. I must have fell asleep on the bus on the way to the bar because it seemed like such a short ride. And had I realized how long I slept, or remembered that I even dozed off in the first place, there would be no way that I would be walking for 3 hours straight to find the bus station where my bus stops for me to get back home.

After saying goodbye to everyone at the event, and declining a ride home like a kind moron, I started my walk into the black void of a street. Luckily Kellz was at the event as well and was there to accompany me on my relentless journey to find the bus station (or at least civilization). Kellz had asked me before we began walking if the bus station was nearby, I said "oh yeah, it should be the next light up from here. As we were walking we noticed that the roads were incomplete and undeveloped so we were walking mostly on gravel on the side of the road, and there were hardly any street lights to guide us to our destination. I had to rely heavily on my cellphone's light to illuminate my path and pray that the battery doesn't give out. As we're walking, I see a traffic light so I'm thinking that that's where the stop will be... nope! So we continued walking. We came across a golf club named "Rattle Snake Point" (great name to come across) and we chose to rest up, I took this opportunity to snap a shot as proof for this crazy walk we embarked on.
An hour has passed and Kellz will not stop complaining about how tired he is and how he can't believe he listened to me. I felt rather good. I need this kind of exercise and was looking at this walk on a positive note and it really kept me going. Maybe it was all the amounts of water that I drink that kept me energized or my determination to get back home. Whatever it was, it made the walk not faze me one bit.

Two and a half hours has passed by now and still no sign of a bus station. So we stop and decide to look at the GPS in my phone (an idea that should've been done from before we started walking). I find my location and I'm shocked to see that we were exactly half way to our destination. I was afraid to show Kellz but I did anyway because his frustration was actually pretty funny. He freaked out when he seen our progress but what could be done, so we continued walking.

In the far distance I see a very faint green light, which seems to me to be a traffic light. As we get closer we pass a sign that reads "Oakville". We literally walked from one city to another in the middle of the night. But now that we see more signs indicating that the station is nearby, Kellz and I are both greatly relieved. We get to the station, wait for the bus, hop on, and are on our way home.

What I learned and can take from that experience is to always plan ahead and always pay attention to details. Leason learned!
