Beginning My Journey To Marketing...

Here's the setup I got so far.
Today's blog is about the beginnings of me learning to shoot
film. I'm doing this because I am currently enrolled in the Business Marketing
program at Humber College. As every marketer should know, the marketing mix
consists of 4 elements. Those 4 elements are Price, Product, Place, and
Promotion. Now, the last one, promotion, is the one aspect of the mix that I
want to concentrate on for now. I would like to learn and acquire the ability
to shoot and edit my own videos, and to learn how to take good photos so I can
make my own advertisements so that I can also provide these services that require
these skills when I begin my career after college. The first thing I did was
research how to take good pictures, and which camera would be a good one to
take them. The camera that came up a lot was the Canon EOS 7D. People were
saying that its one of the best cameras and that they are also used to shoot
commercials. Now the key word "commercials" came up and now I got my
target. So I saved up, and went out and got me a 7D. Next I needed a tripod to
better stabilize my shots. Luckily, there was one on sale over at The Source,
so I picked that up. Now I have my camera and my tripod, I learned some of the
major functions of the camera through Youtube and the manual, and now I'm ready
to get shooting some videos, but all I need is an idea on what to shoot and
lessons on how to shoot good videos. I'm going to call my friend, Kellz, who
has his own production company going called Don Entertainment, and ask him if
he would be willing to coach me and tag along on my journey to becoming a
better marketer by teaching me what goes into film making and editing.
Hopefully I get the answer I'm looking for. If I have professional help, it
would be a lot easier to learn and refine my video making skills. Or in other
words, sharpen my pixels... Aahh? Aahh? See what I did there? I put the title
in the... Ahh forget it. Anyways, let's keep our fingers crossed.
